During the school holidays we are pleased to offer a great choice of team sports. These are run by our fully trained activity staff and all equipment is provided. If weather permits, many team sports will be played outside on our sport pitches, or if not they will be moved to our indoor halls.

Basketball

  • There are two teams.
  • Players must bounce the ball while moving.
  • You can swipe the ball, but no physical contact.
  • 2pts scored if player is standing in the semi-circle
  • 3 pts scored if player is standing anywhere else.

Continuous Cricket

  • There are two teams, one bats, one fields.
  • Batter must run for all bowls (unless no ball).
  • Play until all batters are out, then switch sides.
  • 1 run scored for every cone, regardless of whether the ball was hit.
  • Batter must run around the cone for the point to count.

Dodgeball

  • There are 2 teams
  • No physical contact.
  • Only direct hits BELOW the shoulder count.
  • No headshots.
  • If you are hit, you are out.
  • If you throw a ball and it is caught, you are out and the opposition get a player back.

Five A  Side Football

  • There are two teams
  • No physical contact (pushing, pulling, sliding, tackle etc.)
  • Goal keeper must stay in the semi-circle
  • Outfield player may not enter the semi-circle
  • 1 pt for every goal scored

Rounders

  • There are two teams, one bats, one fields.
  • When batting you have 3 chances to hit the ball, you must run on the third ball.
  • Play until all batters are out, then switch sides.
  • You get 1 rounder for getting around all 4 bases in one go.
  • Half-rounder for getting to 2nd base, or from 1st-4th base in one go.
  • Highest score wins

Unihoc

  • There are two teams.
  • Players must keep two hands on the stick when in control of the ball.
  • There should be no physical contact with players.
  • Shots must be taken within attacking half, outside of semi circle.
  • Player is only allowed in the semi circle if the ball is stuck.
  • 1 pt for every goal scored

Volleyball

  • There are two teams.
  • Serve from back right. Serving player continues until point is lost.
  • After the service round finishes, players rotate clockwise so a new player serves when play returns.
  • Maximum of 3 touches per team, ball must then go over the net.
  • If it doesn’t the opposing team wins the point.
