Pickleball Coaching Breaks 2023/2024

If you’re a beginner, or simply looking to improve your game, come and join us for a dedicated 4 night pickleball break at The Manor Resort. All sessions take place with our IPTPA and English Tournament medal winning coach and will have a maximum of 16 people per break to ensure quality coaching.

Away from the courts you will have full access of the resort facilities, plus enjoy full-board dining throughout your stay.

4 Day Itinerary

Monday

11.30 Onwards Arrival and acquaint yourself with our facilities and settle into your room (from 3pm)

Recreational play on any one of our nine dedicated courts.

Tuesday

09.45–10.00 Meet the coach, safety, and course introduction

10.00-12.00 Serve and Return, Ground Strokes, techniques & drills

12.30-13.30 LUNCH

14.00-16.00 The soft game, dinking with purpose, kitchen drills

16.00-17.00 Recreational play – American style

Wednesday

10.00-12.00 Third shot options, drop, drive or lob, techniques & drills

12.30-13.30 LUNCH

14.00-16.00 Fourth Shot Options, techniques & drills & Match Tactics

16.00-17.30 Round Robin Tournament

Thursday

10.30 Onwards Recreational play or enjoy our other five star facilities at your leisure

Intermediate (3.0-3.5) Level:

Prices are the standard tariff plus a Coaching Supplement of £60pp for 4-day breaks.

A minimum of 4 guests per break is required for each break to proceed.

Lunch is not included on arrival and departure days.

Meet Your Coach

Your coach for the Pickleball Breaks is Ray Puttick, a qualified IPTPA Coach and tournament player at the 3.5-4.0 level.

In the 2023 English Open he gained a Gold Medal for the singles 65+, a Gold medal for the mixed doubles 65+, and a bronze in the men’s doubles 65+, and followed these results with two more bronze medals in doubles at the English Nationals in October 2023.

With over 20 years of racket coaching experience, he continues using his LTA level 3 Tennis coach and BAofE Level 2 Badminton coach qualifications to help players of all ages and standards to enjoy racket sports.

He is also a ETTA Level 3 table tennis coach now retired, but still enjoys the sport at a recreational level.
