THE ACTIVITY BARN – COMING JANUARY 2027

The Activity Barn is the perfect new addition to The Ashbury. It’s a vibrant space to eat, drink, play and spend quality time together, whatever the weather.

THINGS TO NOTE

What this means for your stay

While we’re creating our brand-new Activity Barn at Ashbury, badminton will temporarily be available at The Manor instead. Our complimentary minibus service will take you there and back, so you can continue to enjoy a game during your stay.

Unfortunately, the Golf Simulator Room will not be available. Coaching session will take place in the practice area using our Trackman simulators.

RACQUET & FITNESS CENTRE – OPENING JAN 2027

Set in a stunning elevated position the new open-plan gym with modern equipment has been created to help you maintain your training routine, build strength, improve fitness or simply enjoy an active break .

What this means for your stay

During construction, a selection of Ashbury’s pickleball and padel courts will be available from 6pm–9pm, Monday to Friday, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Alternatively, you can enjoy the courts at The Manor throughout the day.

The Manor

Guests are welcome to enjoy lunch at either resort. At busier times, tables operate on a first-come basis. You’re welcome to relax in the lounge and we’ll let you know when a table becomes available.

The Ashbury

Tables are allocated for breakfast and evening meals. Guests can usually enjoy lunch at either resort, although during peak periods Ashbury residents may be asked to have all meals at The Ashbury.

Bedrooms & Housekeeping

Stays of six nights or fewer

Rooms are not serviced during shorter stays. Bedroom refreshments and clean towels are available from Reception. Please leave used towels in the provided bags outside your room.

Stays of seven nights or more

Your room will be serviced once during your stay. Refreshments and clean towels are available from Reception on other days whenever required.

Payments, cash & room accounts

  • Cash is accepted in most areas, except the Craft Centre. Contactless payment is preferred where possible.
  • There are no cash machines at either resort. The nearest is at Sourton Cross Services.
  • Cash deposits may be required when borrowing equipment.
  • On arrival day, items can be charged to your room after 3pm.
  • On departure day, purchases must be paid for by card rather than charged to your room.
  • Please vacate your room by 10am and settle any outstanding room balance before leaving.

The bar & wine service

Drinks can be ordered and collected directly from the bar. Contactless payment is preferred, or you can charge drinks to your room when your room account is available.

At the Manor , during evening dining service, wine waiters will be available to take orders in the restaurant.

Food and drink enjoyed at the resorts must be purchased on site.

Frequently Asked Questions

For the convenience of other guests, pets are not allowed at either resort (with the exception of guide dogs, hearing dogs and assistance dogs). Please advise us before you book. Any guest found to have brought a pet with them will be asked to remove them from the premises immediately, at their own cost.

We provide towels and bed linen in all our accommodation. Swimming towels are available from reception/spa reception for a £2 hire charge and £5 deposit.

You can hire a selection of rackets/balls from reception for a returnable deposit. Hire charges apply for some equipment – please check individual sports pages.

All our rooms are en-suite with bath or shower, TV, tea/coffee facilities and hair dryer. All bedrooms also have access to free Wi-Fi.

The rooms do not have ironing facilities however you can hire an iron and board from reception for a £10 deposit.

All breaks are on a Full Board basis, meaning that all meals are included from check-in to check-out.

You are welcome to lunch on arrival and departure day, however this is charged separately. Please note that lunches pre-ordered through our online booking system are non-refundable.

All meals are served from our hot and cold buffets. High Tea for young children is available between 5.00pm and 5.15pm (this must be preordered from reception – please ask on arrival). A dedicated children’s buffet is available from 6.00pm in school holidays.

Peak periods, such as school holidays, tables will be allocated for groups of 7 or more only at the Manor Resort (for evening meal). In addition, Ashbury residents will be required to have ALL meals, including lunch, at the Ashbury Resort during Peak Times.

Rooms will be available from 3.00pm on your day of arrival, and must be vacated by 10.00am on your day of departure. On arrival at the resorts, please report to reception for pre-check in information.

Can we arrive after this time?

If you expect to arrive after 10.00pm on the first day of your stay please let the hotel know so that we can make arrangements for you to collect your keys. The main gates are closed after midnight. There is a call point adjacent to the gates for you to contact the night porter and gain access to the hotel. If you arrive after the dining room has closed (8.45pm), we can arrange for refreshments to be prepared for your arrival, providing you let us know in advance.

You must check-in by noon the following morning or let us know in advance if you are going to arrive after this time otherwise we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled (standard cancellation charges will apply)

We no longer provide servicing of rooms for stays less that 7 days, however please note that replenishment of bedroom refreshments and clean towels will be available from reception. Please leave any dirty towels in the bags provided outside your room. If staying for 7 days or longer, housekeeping will clean your room and change your bedding once during your stay.

If you’ve booked one of our wonderful new Garden Hot Tub Rooms, you can enjoy daily servicing, with tea and coffee replenished for your convenience. If you’d like to find out more about these rooms and what they offer, please feel free to visit our website for further details.

 

We are pleased to announce that our activity booking platform is now up and running! All guests will be able to prebook our resort activities and facilities prior to arrival, helping you plan your stay before you arrive. The lead booker of your group will receive a notification to download our app, or use our desktop booking platform 2 weeks before arrival. (Access is by email invitation only). Simply browse through the activities available, confirm your activity choices & pay any applicable charges.

You can use all the facilities at both resorts. We offer minibus transport between the two sites, this needs to be booked at reception and is subject to availability.

We adopt a relaxed attitude to dress code, however smart/casual wear (no sports shorts/vests) is expected after 6.00pm in the dining rooms.

We have a number of cots and high chairs available but not all our rooms are suitable for cots so please advise us when making your booking. Cots may be standard or travel cots. Sheets and blankets are NOT provided, or available, with our cots – you will need to bring your own with you.

Wi-Fi is available across the majority of public areas and bedrooms at both resorts. This service is offered free of charge (sign-in required).

We have ample parking at the resorts and this is usually allocated on a first come-first served basis. Parking is not guaranteed and does not form part of your reservation. If you are part of a larger party and are travelling by coach or mini-bus, let us know prior to your arrival so that we can allocate space for you. While we provide free parking, vehicles are parked entirely at the owner’s risk and we accept no liability for loss or damage to vehicles that are parked on company property. There is no charge for parking on the resorts.

Charging bays are available at both resorts. Tokens can be purchased from reception. Residents: £4.50 per hour (max 8 hours). Non-residents £6.00 per hour (max 2 hours). Please note: A maximum output of 7kw/h is available over this period. We politely ask that you vacate the charging bay once your session has finished.

You must notify us within 24 hours of departure of any loss of personal possessions. Any items found will be retained for a period of three months. If they are not claimed within this period, they will be disposed of at our discretion. As a company, we do not take responsibility for personal belongings left in your accommodation. Charges apply to return lost items.

In line with government legislation smoking is prohibited in all our accommodation and public areas. Please note that provisions have been made, wherever possible, to provide external shelters to accommodate those who wish to smoke. Please note that we prohibit the use of e-cigarettes in all accommodation and all internal areas of the hotels.

All golfers are entitled to play 18 holes of long course golf on their arrival day (PM round only) and 18 holes on their departure day (AM round only). 27 holes of long course golf are available on all other days. We advise all those wishing to play golf to book tee times in advance.

To help us manage demand during our busiest times, we have implemented a charge per person, per tee-time at selected times, to be applicable during our peak golf season. Outside of these times you are welcome to reserve your tee-times free of charge. For a full breakdown of charges please click here.

Our experienced staff will work out a golf package for you, so that you enjoy as many of the courses as possible during your stay. To ensure we balance the courses we may not be able to offer multiple rounds on any one particular course. We reserve the right to pair up single and 2-ball pairings.

Golf is available every day throughout the year. During our Autumn to Spring months, we reserve the right to implement alternative Winter Courses.

We ask that guests do not consume their own food or drink at the Resorts. All items consumed at the Resorts must be purchased on site.

Cash will be accepted on site with the exception of the craft centre however we would ask guests to use contactless payment methods wherever possible. Please be aware that there are no longer cash withdrawal machines available at either of our Resorts. The nearest cash point is located at Sourton Cross Services.
