Hotel with Bowling
One of our most popular hotel activities is indoor bowls. With an outstanding choice of 7 indoor bowls rinks and use of all equipment, you’ll find we are the perfect place to practice whether you are a complete beginner, playing with friends, or competing as part of a club.
During your stay you may enjoy groups bowls coaching sessions and friendly competitions. Outside of these times, our halls are available for you to book for your own matches with friends and family.
We offer a great range of quality bowls and jacks, which can be hired for a small returnable deposit. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own bowls from home and store them in our lockers (available in each bowls hall).
Short Mat Bowls
Short mat bowls is a variation of the traditional bowls, adapted for indoor play on a specially designed 45ft mat. Short mat bowls requires skill, precision, and strategy, and is a popular with bowlers that fancy a change.
Target Bowls
Instead of aiming for a jack, try and position your bowls at the centre of targets by manoeuvring around well-placed obstacles. Target bowls requires accuracy, control, and strategic decision-making to outmanoeuvre opponents and secure the closest position to the target.
New Age Bowls
Our version of New age Bowls involves aiming for a foam wedge with different scoring zones. The game is generally played in teams of no more than 4 players, and is great fun for all ages.
Table Bowls
Essentially Bowls played on a snooker table with our own Manor Twist! Using 2 ¼ inch bowls and a chute try and get closest to the jack using the bias whist learning to gain the right length. If you have great tactical awareness and a competitive edge, then this game is for you.
